This website is dedicated to the memory of DAZZLE, she was simply the best.

                               Never forgotten.  1989-2000.

She was beautiful but never vain, clever but never arrogant.

She never gave up when all seemed lost.

Her courage is my constant inspiration.   Dazzle the legend.

Dazzle was born 06-05-1989  by Meynell Dandy X Portman Buttress.  She was my first foxhound, and lived with me for the first year of her life.  She then lived the life of a pack hound and later came back to me in 1991 to have a litter of 8 puppies, which I also looked after for the first year of their lives.  Early in 1992 in the hunting field, tragedy struck Dazzle, she became trapped  in a fox snare by a hind leg.   After patiently waiting for seven whole days and nights she was rescued, came home to me, but her leg had to be amputated.

After recovering from the operation she began training.  She became nationally famous for her skill in obedience and agility.  In 1993 she won the Pro Dogs GOLD medal  for Devotion to Duty, and was also bestowed the honour of PAT dog.  She served Pat dogs for many years. She sadly died in August 2000 after a short illness.       Her memory lives on in the Dazzleby foxhounds.
